Fine Arts Building at 502 South Cooper Street
The Fine Arts Building Northward houses the Department of Theatre Arts performance spaces, scenic and costume studios, equally well as several Theatre Arts classes.
Mainstage Theatre
The Mainstage Theatre located in the Fine Arts Building North, Room 174, is a proscenium-mode theatre seating 426. The Mainstage is equipped with a single-purchase counterweight organisation, computerized light board and complete audio organization. The Mainstage as well contains two chorus dressing rooms and shares 2 smaller dressing rooms with the Studio Theatre. Each of the dressing rooms includes showers, lavatories and brand-up mirrors.
Studio Theatre
The Studio Theatre, located in Fine Arts Building Due north, Room 137, is a black-box theatre approximately lxx feet by 60 anxiety with flexible seating for upwardly to 150. The Studio Theatre has a computerized lighting system and complete sound arrangement.
Theatre Arts Instruction Lab & Phase 143
The Theatre Arts Teaching Lab, located in the Fine Arts Building, Room 143, is a black-box theatre approximately 30 feet by xl feet with flexible seating for upwards to 100. Phase 143 has a computerized lighting system and complete audio system. The Theatre Arts Teaching Lab now functions as a production space for future theatre arts teachers to practise their craft.
Swift Center Dance Studio
The Swift Center Dance Studio is located at 1022 UTA Blvd. in room 126. The studio features a new Harlequin trip the light fantastic floor and is equipped with wall-mounted and portable ballet barres, mirrors, sound system, projector, costume cupboard, and locker rooms. The trip the light fantastic toe faculty office is located in 126A, where students may likewise check out a variety of dance theory books and DVDs.
Breathtaking Studio
The Scenic Studio is well-equipped with industrial machinery and tools. Students are supervised during Practicum in structure techniques. The Scenic Studio is located in Room 135 behind the Mainstage Theatre. Scenery, costume and prop storage is located beneath the Mainstage and is easily accessible for production needs via stairs and/or a freight lift.
Costume Studio
The Costume Studio is professionally equipped with industrial sewing machines, dye equipment, cutting tables, dress forms, and heavy-duty steam irons, with ample storage space. Under the supervision of the faculty designer and costume studio supervisor, students build the bulk of costumes for each production. The Costume Studio is located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Edifice in Room 147.
Design Studio 419
The Theatre Arts Department Design Studio is located in the Fine Arts Building, Room 419 of side by side to the elevators on the northward side of the building. The Design Studio is the primary design classroom with a "Maker Bot" 3D Printer and work space and work infinite with drafting tables and a figurer loaded with Vectorworks-CAD as well as sound editing software. Also located in 419 is a small research library containing theatrical magazines and catalogs.
Makeup Studio
The Makeup Studio is located on the west terminate of Phase 143. The Make-Up Studio is consummate with mirrors, chairs, and makeup lighting making information technology a great classroom space for creating masks, molds and makeup designs.
Light-green Room
The Green Room is located reverse the Studio Theatre, and is the hub of action for all Theatre Arts students. Majors are assigned a mail slot in the Dark-green Room where faculty, staff and fellow students tin can leave letters and any necessary communications. There are as well small kitchen facilities and seating, providing students with a comfortable environment.
Cliff Harville Theatre Arts Library and Archives
Cliff Harville Theatre Arts Library and Archives Room is located in the Fine Arts Edifice room #197B. The Cliff Harville Library contains over one thousand scripts which are available to the students, faculty and staff. Scripts can be checked out through the main theatre office.
